Regular Season Round 8: Kings - Wildcats 77-72
Date: December 6, 2018
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Perth Wildcats (11-2) in Sydney on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Kings (7-4) 77-72. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Brad Newley (199-85, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Kevin Lisch (188-86, college: St.Louis) who added 16 points during the contest. International power forward Nick Kay (206-92, college: Metro St.) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Mississippi) scored 17 points. Perth Wildcats' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kings maintains third position with 7-4 record having six points less than leader Wildcats. Perth Wildcats at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. Kings are looking forward to face Illawarra Hawks (#5) in Gwynneville in the next round. Perth Wildcats will play on the road against the league's second-placed United (#2) in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
