Very expected game when 11th ranked Ostrow Mazow. (5-7) was smashed by first ranked Zubry (11-1) in Bialystok 117-56 on Saturday. Zubry dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Ostrow Mazow.'s 36 and made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Zubry forced 22 Ostrow Mazow. turnovers and outrebounded them 47-24 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 38 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Ostrow Mazow.'s players. It was a good game for point guard Kamil Czosnowski (180-95) who led his team to a victory with 4 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St. CC) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Zubry players scored in double figures. Mateusz Niewinski (190-96) replied with 13 points and 5 rebounds and center Gregory Tchernev-Rowland (202-1) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ostrow Mazow.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zubry maintains first position in Group B with 11-1 record. Ostrow Mazow. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with seven games lost. Zubry will face Dziki Wwa (#7) in Warszawa in the next round where they are favorite. Ostrow Mazow. will play at home against Rosa II Radom and hope to win that game.
