Rather predictable result when first ranked Shinshu BW (18-3) won against 5th ranked Kanazawa Sam. (4-17) in Nagano 78-64 on Saturday. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shinshu BW made 7 blocks. American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach Michael Katsuhisa used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
