Regular Season Round 12: Rosa II Radom - Start Lublin II 80-90

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Start Lublin II (6-6) defeated on the road higher ranked Rosa II Radom (7-5) 90-80 on Saturday. Start Lublin II made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Rosa II Radom turnovers. Strangely Rosa II Radom outrebounded Start Lublin II 48-34 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for point guard Michael Gospodarek (186-91, agency: BeoExcell) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Pawel Kowalski (197-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Start Lublin II players scored in double figures. Mikolaj Krakowiak (194-99) replied with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Norbert Ziolko (192-99) added 16 points in the effort for Rosa II Radom. Rosa II Radom's coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Start Lublin II moved-up to seventh place in Group B, which they share with Stal SW and Dziki Wwa. Loser Rosa II Radom dropped to the third position with five games lost. Start Lublin II will face higher ranked LKS MG13 Lodz (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rosa II Radom will play against Ostrow Mazow. in Ostrow Mazowiecki and hope to win that game.
