Regular Season Round 20: Toyotsu FE - Fukushima 70-79

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Toyotsu FE (15-6) against fifth ranked Fukushima (8-13) on Saturday night. Host Toyotsu FE was defeated by Fukushima in a tough game in Nagoya 70-79. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toyotsu FE. Fukushima forced 25 Toyotsu FE turnovers. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) who scored that evening 19 points and 9 rebounds and center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) did not help to save the game for Toyotsu FE. Forward Cherif Sow (201-92) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Fukushima maintains fifth position with 8-13 record. Toyotsu FE at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Fukushima will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyotsu FE will play again against Fukushima and hope to secure a win.
