Regular Season Round 11: Bolzano AV - Milano 45-78

Everything went according to plan when twelfth ranked Milano (4-7) outscored on the road 14th ranked Bolzano AV (2-9) 78-45 on Saturday. Milano forced 24 Bolzano AV turnovers. It was a great evening for swingman Giulia Gombac (180-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Cecilia Zagni (180-95) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Luxembourg forward Nadia Mossong (182-86, college: E.Kentucky) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Benedetta Consorti (180-86) scored 8 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Milano maintains twelfth place in A2 with 4-7 record. Newly promoted Bolzano AV keeps the fourteenth position with nine games lost. Milano will face Varese (#16) at home in the next round. Bolzano AV will play against Moncalieri and hope to win that game.
