Regular Season Round 12: Dobrodzien - Wisla Krakow 79-80

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Wisla Krakow (9-3) edged on the road 12th ranked Dobrodzien (4-8) 80-79 on Saturday. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dobrodzien's 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for guard Rafal Zglobicki (196-94) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Wojciech Gorgon (194-89) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Center Lukasz Bak (210-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and guard Michal Ciesla (188-81) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists in the effort for Dobrodzien. Five Dobrodzien players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Wisla Krakow have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with Polonia Bytom. Dobrodzien lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Wisla Krakow will face Przemysl (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dobrodzien will play against Tarnowskie Gory and hope to win that game.
