Regular Season Round 5: Pirates - Stingers 101-105

The biggest surprise of round 5 in NPBA was guest Stingers' (#4) road victory over Pirates (#5) 105-101 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pirates. Stingers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Abel Joseph (200-90) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Scottie Farrington chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Four Stingers players scored in double figures. American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) produced 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) and guard Kronoff Dean (173) added 20 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Stingers maintains fourth place with 3-1 record. Pirates at the other side keep the fifth position with two games lost. Stingers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nassau to the arena Pros.
