Regular Season Round 9: Dubrovnik - Kvarner 2010 82-63
Date: December 8, 2018
Rather expected game when 8th ranked Kvarner (3-6) was smashed on the road by fifth ranked KK Dubrovnik (5-3) 82-63. The game was mostly controlled by KK Dubrovnik. Kvarner was better in second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Four KK Dubrovnik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Luka Vucic (197-99) with 21 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Matija Bilalovic (200-97) scored 22 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for KK Dubrovnik. Newly promoted KK Dubrovnik maintains fifth place with 5-3 record. Kvarner lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Kastela and Pula 1981. KK Dubrovnik will play against bottom-ranked Universitas (#12) in Split in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kvarner will play at home against Pula 1981 (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
