Regular Season Round 12: Chalon - Gravelines 95-70

There was an upset when higher ranked Gravelines (9-3) was outleveled on the road by tenth ranked Chalon (6-7) 95-70 on Saturday. Chalon forced 23 Gravelines turnovers. It was a good game for Etienne Ca (210-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Babacar Niasse (194-0) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Chalon players scored in double figures. Matthias Flosse (209-98) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Lucas Bourhis (179-0) added 12 points and 9 assists in the effort for Gravelines. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chalon maintains tenth position with 6-7 record. Loser Gravelines keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Chalon will face higher ranked Strasbourg (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gravelines will play against Bourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
