Regular Season Round 9: H.Jerusalem - H.Tel-Aviv 87-75

Very expected game when 8th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-6) lost on the road to fourth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (6-2) 87-75. Hapoel Jerusalem players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was Dominican-American James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who scored 24 points. American center Josh Owens (206-88, college: Stanford) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international power forward Richard Howell (203-90, college: NC State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Jerel McNeal (190-87, college: Marquette) added 15 points respectively. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Jerusalem moved-up to second place, which they share with Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Tel-Aviv at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be Maccabi T-A (#3) in Tel-Aviv, which may be the game of the day. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play at home against Ironi Nahariya (#12) and hope to win that game.
