Regular Season Round 10: Team4Q - Bankeryd 97-91

The game between Top Four teams took place in Helsingborg. First ranked host Team4Q (7-2) defeated one of their biggest challengers Bankeryd (6-3) 97-91. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 31-18. But Bankeryd won third quarter 33-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Team4Q won last quarter 21-16. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Naturalized Bosnian forward Srdjan Vukovic (197-86) notched a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized Cypriot point guard Sasa Vural (185-88) supported him with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Even 25 points and 4 assists by guard Marcus Homelius (183-94) did not help to save the game for Bankeryd. Guard Kristoffer Gronhage (188-92) added 22 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Four Team4Q and five Bankeryd players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Team4Q maintains first position with 7-2 record. Bankeryd at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Akropol. Team4Q will play against league's second-placed RIG Mark in Kinna in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bankeryd will play at home against Haga BG and hopes to get back on the winning track.
