Regular Season Round 11: Roma Elite - San Salvatore 61-48

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Roma Elite (5-6) won against at home 8th ranked San Salvatore (5-5) 61-48 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Croatian forward Mia Masic (180-93) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Ilenia Magistri (180-91) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. Roma Elite's coach Massimo Prosperi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Point guard Anna Lussu (163-85) responded with 13 points and the former international guard Cinzia Arioli (178-84, agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points. Roma Elite moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser San Salvatore dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Roma Elite will face league's second-placed Spezzina in La Spezia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
