Regular Season Round 8: Go Time - Sykki 78-56

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Helsinki: Go Time (#8) and Sykki (#9). Go Time (3-6) smashed visiting Sykki (2-7) by 22 points 78-56. The game without a history. Go Time led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sykki to just 6 points in first quarter. Go Time forced 19 Sykki turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Samatar Abokar (190-1) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Benjamin Kahkonen (190-0) chipped in 15 points. Point guard Niilo Kotkaslahti (179-0) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Mikko Savolainen (196-2) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Go Time maintains eighth position with 3-6 record. Sykki lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost. Go Time's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Helsinki to the arena HNMKY.
