There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Pleszew (4-7) won against at home higher ranked Sudety (6-5) 89-79 on Saturday. It was a good game for swingman Grzegorz Malecki (195-84, agency: Promotex) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Mikolaj Spala (189-93) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Pleszew players scored in double figures. Guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds and Rafal Niesobski (189-82) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Sudety. Pleszew maintains tenth position in Group D with 4-7 record. Sudety lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. Pleszew will face higher ranked Nysa (#9) in Otmuchow in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
