Regular Season Round 12: Oviedo - Huesca 73-58

The most important game in the last round took place in Oviedo between third ranked Magia Huesca (8-4) and sixth ranked Oviedo CB (8-4) on Saturday night. Magia Huesca was defeated by Oviedo CB on the road 73-58. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Magia Huesca. Worth to mention a great performance of center Oliver Arteaga (208-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Lithuanian forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-92) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Oviedo CB's coach Javier Rodriguez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Estonian center Rauno Nurger (208-93, college: Wichita St.) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Belgian-American guard Tyler Haws (193-91, college: BYU) scored 13 points. Oviedo CB have a solid three-game winning streak. Oviedo CB moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Magia Huesca. Oviedo CB is looking forward to face Leyma Basquet (#16) in Coruna in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Magia Huesca will play at home against Castello (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
