An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vigo. Top-ranked Real Celta Vigo faced 3rd ranked Rioja. Host Real Celta Vigo (10-0) defeated guests from Azkoitia (7-3) 77-67. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Rioja. Real Celta Vigo forced 23 Rioja turnovers. Strangely Rioja outrebounded Real Celta Vigo 42-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Point guard Anne Senosiain (162-97) notched 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists to lead the effort and center Iciar Velasco (185-86) supported her with 5 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds by Canadian swingman Jessica Fequiere (180-93, college: Albany) did not help to save the game for Rioja. American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-93, college: Louisville) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Real Celta Vigo have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 10-0 record. Rioja at the other side dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. Real Celta Vigo's next round opponent will be Segle XXI (#11) in Barcelona and are hoping to win another game. Rioja will play at home against Arxil Pontevedra (#13) and hope to win that game.
