Regular Season Round 6: Zabiny Brno - CTO 82-58

EWBL top team - Czech Zabiny Brno (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Dutch CTO (0-5) 82-58. The game without a history. Zabiny Brno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game, while CTO only scored three points from the stripe. Zabiny Brno forced 21 CTO turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. CTO was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Petra Zaplatova (175-91) notched 19 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Marques Webb (185-95, college: Vanderbilt) supported her with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Zabiny Brno players scored in double figures. Even 19 points by Ilse Kuijt (175-99) did not help to save the game for CTO. Evelien Lutje (183-0) added 4 points and 10 rebounds. CTO's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Zabiny Brno have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. CTO at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with PINKK-Pecsi. Zabiny Brno will play against Dynamo Moscow (#13) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. CTO will play against Piestanske C. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
