Regular Season Round 6: CFBB - COB Calais 55-71

There was no surprise in Paris where bottom-ranked CFBB (0-6) was defeated by eighth ranked COB Calais (3-3) 71-55 on Saturday. COB Calais forced 19 CFBB turnovers. Strangely CFBB outrebounded COB Calais 45-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Angelina Turmel (198-96) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Emmanuelle Gorjeu (172-89) chipped in 9 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Serena Kessler (182-2) who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Fayzat Djoumoi (184-1) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. COB Calais moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with six games lost. COB Calais will face league's second-placed Angers on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play against La Glacerie (#12) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
