Important game to mention about took place in Melbourne. Eighth ranked Sydney Uni Flames (2-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-best Boomers (9-5) 65-62 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boomers. Guard Tahlia Tupaea (174-97) nailed 21 points and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international Belinda Snell (180-81) accounted for 14 points and 7 assists. The former international center Cayla George (192-89) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Jenna OHea (185-87) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for Boomers in the defeat. Four Sydney Uni Flames and five Boomers players scored in double figures. Sydney Uni Flames maintains eighth place with 2-11 record. Boomers at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. Sydney Uni Flames will play against higher ranked Dandenong Rangers (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boomers will play against Adelaide Lightning (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
