Regular Season Round 8: Blois - Nancy 80-71

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sluc Nancy (5-3) against eleventh ranked ADA Blois (4-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Sluc Nancy was defeated by ADA Blois in a tough game in Blois 71-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sluc Nancy. ADA Blois dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sluc Nancy's 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) who scored that evening 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Benjamin Monclar (191-88) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by Cameroonian forward Williams Williams (201-97) did not help to save the game for Sluc Nancy. American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (193-93, college: Barry, agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ADA Blois moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. ADA Blois will play against higher ranked Saint Chamond (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sluc Nancy will play against SPO Rouen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
