Regular Season Round 9: Spojnia - MKS DG 61-81

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (6-4) crushed on the road 14th ranked Spojnia Stargard (2-7) 81-61 on Sunday. It was a good game for international forward Mathieu Wojciechowski (203-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Trey Davis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four MKS Dabrowa Gornicza players scored in double figures. American point guard Anthony Hickey (180-92, college: Oklahoma St.) answered with 13 points and guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) added 12 points in the effort for Spojnia Stargard. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 6-4 record. Spojnia Stargard lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face higher ranked Anwil (#5) in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spojnia Stargard will play at home against the league's second-placed Stelmet Enea BC (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
