Regular Season Round 10: Widzew - Sleza Wroclaw 92-80

An interesting game took place in Lodz where higher ranked Sleza Wroclaw (7-2) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Widzew (3-6) 92-80. They made 25-of-28 charity shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while Sleza Wroclaw only scored nine points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dominique Wilson (173-94, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 38 points (!!!) and 8 assists (made all of her twelve free throws !!!). Serbian forward Katarina Vuckovic (190-94, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 25 points for the winners. American Cierra Burdick (188-93, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds and Ukrainian center Taisia Udodenko (191-89) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sleza Wroclaw. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sleza Wroclaw's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Widzew moved-up to eighth place, which they share with AZS UMCS. Sleza Wroclaw at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Widzew's next round opponent will be AZS UMCS (#8) in Lublin. Sleza Wroclaw will play at home against Artego Bydg. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
