Regular Season Round 21: Shinshu BW - Kanazawa Sam. 84-61

Not a big story in a game in Nagano where 5th ranked Kanazawa Sam. (4-17) was rolled over by first ranked Shinshu BW (18-3) 84-61 on Sunday. Shinshu BW looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) stepped up and scored 25 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and his fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) chipped in 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach Michael Katsuhisa felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Jamaican-American power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St.) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Shinshu BW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-3 record. Kanazawa Sam. lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 17 games lost. Shinshu BW will face Tokyo HT (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Kanazawa Sam. will play against the league's second-placed Toyotsu FE and hope to win that game.
