We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Gessi Valsesia (5-6) was edged at home by twelfth ranked Omnia Basket (5-6) 82-81 on Sunday. Gessi Valsesia was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Andrea Iannilli (207-84) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Stefano Cernivani (185-91) answered with 28 points and point guard Renato Quartuccio (182-94) added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Gessi Valsesia.
