Regular Season Round 21: Toyotsu FE - Fukushima 80-73

Rather predictable result in Nagoya where second ranked Toyotsu FE (15-6) defeated 5th ranked Fukushima (8-13) 80-73 on Sunday. Fukushima was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and point guard Edward Yamamoto (173-86) chipped in 21 points. The best for the losing side was American power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Toyotsu FE keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Sendai 89ers and Cyberdyne IR. Loser Fukushima keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face Kanazawa Sam. (#5) in Ishikawa in the next round. Fukushima will play at home against the league's leader Cyberdyne IR and hope to win that game.
