Regular Season Round 8: Kymis - Holargos 57-66

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Holargos (3-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Kymis (1-7) 66-57. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kymis won third quarter 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Jermaine Love (188-89, college: Ill.-Springfield, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 16 points and 4 assists. Forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay St.) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Scott Suggs (197-89, college: Washington) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Holargos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Panionios and Lavrio. Kymis lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Holargos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Ifestos (#7) in Keratsiniou and it may be quite challenging game. Kymis will play on the road against Cretan Kings (#13) in Rethymno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
