Very predictable result in Nanjing where third ranked Flying Leopards (13-4) outscored 13th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (7-10) 104-84. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 44. Flying Leopards forced 22 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers and outrebounded them 50-34 including 37 on the defensive glass. American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) supported him with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 30 points and 5 assists by American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu Dragons. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) added 8 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flying Leopards have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-4 record having four points less than leader Guangdong ST, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Jiangsu Dragons lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with ten games lost. Flying Leopards' next round opponent will be Leopards (#6) in Shenzhen. Jiangsu Dragons will play on the road against Jilin Tigers (#12) in Changchun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
