Very expected game when 10th ranked Vigevano (5-6) lost to first ranked Fiorentina (9-1) in Firenze 64-79 on Sunday. Fiorentina dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Vigevano's 32. Nicola Bastone (196-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Argentinian guard Sebastian Vico (190-86, agency: Players Group) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. Simone Vecerina (193-99) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Patrizio Verri (196-88) added 11 points in the effort for Vigevano. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fiorentina maintains first place in B with 9-1 record. Newly promoted Vigevano keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Fiorentina will face Varese Robur (#5) on the road in the next round. Vigevano will play against Cecina (#16) and hope to win that game.
