Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Ogniwo Szczecin (4-7) won against at home 11th ranked Suchy Las (3-7) 83-79 on Sunday. Ogniwo Szczecin forced 20 Suchy Las turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for center Karol Pytys (202-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Maciej Adamkiewicz (203-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Aleksander Lewandowski (200-0, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Marcin Woroniecki (190-0) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Suchy Las. Four Suchy Las players scored in double figures. Suchy Las' coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ogniwo Szczecin moved-up to eighth place in Group A, which they share with Gniezno. Suchy Las lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Ogniwo Szczecin will face Tarnovia (#13) in Tarnowo Podgorne in the next round where they are favorite. Suchy Las will play at home against Notec Inowr. and hope to win that game.
