Regular Season Round 7: Zeta - Lovcen 73-94

Erste Liga top team - Lovcen (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Zeta (1-5) in Golubovci 94-73. Lovcen dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Zeta's 42. 26 personal fouls committed by Zeta helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Milos Popovic (198-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). International guard Masan Vrbica (187-94, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Lovcen players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Pavle Raickovic (203-92, college: Lynn) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds and guard Marko Koljevic (191-90) scored 8 points, 9 assists and 7 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lovcen have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record. Zeta lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Primorje 1945 and S.Centar. Lovcen are looking forward to face Jedinstvo (#4) in Bijelo Polje in the next round. Zeta will play on the road against Danilovgrad (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
