Ninth-ranked Residence (2-10) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Amicale (10-2) in Bereldange. The visitors from Steinsel managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Amicale outrebounded Residence 45-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Chris Reyes (201-94, college: Pepperdine) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jeff Early (190-88, college: S.Illinois) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Jordan Price (196-94, college: La Salle) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and guard Mark Alstork (196-95, college: Illinois) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Amicale have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Etzella. Residence lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with Kordall Steelers. Amicale will play against Basket Esch (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Residence will play against Musel Pikes (#7) in Stadrbredimus and hopes to get back on the winning track.
