Regular Season Round 12: Zaglebie - Tarnowskie Gory 79-67

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Tarnowskie Gory (6-6) lost to eighth ranked Zaglebie (5-6) in Sosnowiec 67-79 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Zaglebie made 7 blocks. It was a good game for power forward Jakub Czyz (205-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 23 rebounds and 6 blocks. Swingman Kamil Wojciak (193-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. Forward Grzegorz Zadecki (195-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Maciej Balcerzak (194-88) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Tarnowskie Gory. Tarnowskie Gory's coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zaglebie moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with AZS PCz. Tarnowskie Gory lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Zaglebie will face higher ranked AZS UJK Kielce (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
