Very predictable result when third ranked Real Madrid (9-2) rolled over at home 15th ranked Gran Canaria (3-8) 87-63 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-63. Real Madrid had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Trey Thompkins (208-90, college: Georgia) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. International Santiago Yusta (200-97) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Latvian center Anzejs Pasecniks (216-95, college: VEF skola) answered with 7 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Albert Oliver (187-78) added 8 points in the effort for Gran Canaria.
