The game in Ashdod was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Hapoel Eilat (6-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Maccabi Ashdod (3-5). Hapoel Eilat did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi Ashdod. Hapoel Eilat players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Lenzelle Smith-Jr (193-91, college: Ohio St.) who scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat's coach Sharon Drucker allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and Kosovan center Lis Shoshi (211-94, college: UALR) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Hapoel Eilat have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Galil Gilboa. Maccabi Ashdod at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Hapoel Eilat's next round opponent will be Galil Gilboa (#4) in Rosh Pina. Maccabi Ashdod will play on the road against Hapoel B/S in Beer Sheva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
