Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (8-2) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-6) in Hod Hasharon 87-77. International point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side international Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) responded with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-2 record. Loser Bnei Hasharon dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Maccabi T-A will face Ironi Nahariya (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#8) in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
