Date: December 11, 2018
Winner League top team - Maccabi T-A (8-2) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-6) in Hod Hasharon 87-77. International point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) scored 16 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Jake Cohen (208-90, college: Davidson) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-2 record. Loser Bnei Hasharon dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Maccabi T-A will face Ironi Nahariya (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#8) in Nes Ziyona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
