Bottom-ranked Wuhan (0-20) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 20th consecutive match to fifteenth ranked Fujian Nanan (5-15) 77-61. Fujian Nanan dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Wuhan's 34. Fujian Nanan forced 25 Wuhan turnovers. The winners were led by American center Alicia DeVaughn (193-91, college: Maryland, agency: ProDep Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals and Qingrong Lin supported her with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Four Fujian Nanan players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by American power forward Amber Harris (195-88, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for Wuhan. Mengyun Zhou added 17 points for the guests. Wuhan's coach Yulei Liu rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fujian Nanan moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Liaoning and Shaanxi. Wuhan at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings. Fujian Nanan will play against higher ranked Dragons (#12) in Daqing in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Wuhan will play on the road against Blue Whales (#10) in Chengdu and hopes to get finally their first victory.
