Regular Season Round 10: COR-Borisfen - GOCOR-Sozh 89-57

Very predictable result in Mogilev where third ranked COR-Borisfen (9-1) smashed 8th ranked GOCOR-Sozh (2-8) 89-57 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by COR-Borisfen. GOCOR-Sozh managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. COR-Borisfen forced 19 GOCOR-Sozh turnovers. Guard Aleksandr Kharkevich (186-86) fired 20 points and 4 assists for the winners (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American guard Brian Starr (190-96, college: Towson) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Starr is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. COR-Borisfen's coach Andrei Krivonos felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Timofey Verevkin (185-93) produced 29 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Evgeniy Ribkin (195-96) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. COR-Borisfen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-1 record behind leader Grodno-93. GOCOR-Sozh lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. COR-Borisfen will meet Prinemanye (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. GOCOR-Sozh will have a break next round.
