Everything could happen in Santander at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Estela and 6th ranked Azpeitia ISB had identical 7-5 record. This time Estela used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Azpeitia 68-59 on Wednesday night. American swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American-Jamaican forward Lance Kearse (198-89, college: Eckerd) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Estela players scored in double figures. Estela's coach Inaki Merino used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side forward Iker Salazar (200-93) responded with 8 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Marshall Riddle (190-95, college: Palm Beach Atl.) scored 10 points. Estela (8-5) moved-up to fourth place in Silver. Loser Azpeitia ISB dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Estela will face league's leader Zamorano at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Azpeitia ISB will play against Zornotza (#3) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the LEB Gold just one year after relegation.
