Regular Season Round 13: L'Hospitalet - Vic 87-78

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Vic (3-10) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked L'Hospitalet (6-7) 87-78 on Wednesday. It was a great shooting night for L'Hospitalet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Point guard Joan Creus (185-92) stepped up and scored 12 points and 8 assists for the winners and guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four L'Hospitalet players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Kyle Benton (201-95, college: N.C.Central) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Julian Garrote (185-82) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. L'Hospitalet moved-up to seventh place in Silver. Newly promoted Vic keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. L'Hospitalet will face league's leader Real Murcia on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vic will play against Moron (#8) and hope to win that game.
