LEB Silver top team - Zamorano (9-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Baskonia (5-8) 73-63. Zamorano forced 22 Baskonia turnovers. Strangely Baskonia outrebounded Zamorano 36-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 8 assists. Center Christopher Iza (206-95) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Latvian Arturs Kurucs (192-0) answered with 22 points and Estonian swingman Sander Raieste (200-99) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Baskonia. Four Baskonia players scored in double figures. Zamorano maintains first place in Silver with 9-4 record. Baskonia at the other side keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Zamorano's next round opponent will be Estela (#4) in Santander. Baskonia will play on the road against the league's second-placed Marin (#2) and hope to win that game.
