An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kariya. Third ranked Aishin Sea Horses faced their biggest opponent Toshiba Thunders. Host Aishin Sea Horses (12-10) defeated guests from Kanagawa (13-9) 79-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Toshiba Thunders. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kennedy Meeks (208-95, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center JR Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. International power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and American power forward Vernon Macklin (208-86, college: Florida) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toshiba Thunders. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aishin Sea Horses maintains third position with 12-10 record having just three points less than leader Tochigi Brex, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Toshiba Thunders at the other side keep the second place with nine games lost. They share the position with Nagoya DD. Aishin Sea Horses will play against Kyoto Hannar. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Toshiba Thunders will play against Toyama Grouses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
