Regular Season Round 19: Xinjiang FT - Beijing Ducks 111-113

The most exciting game of round 19 in the CBA took place in Urumqi. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (12-6) to fourth ranked Beijing Ducks (14-4) 113-111 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. Beijing Ducks forced 19 Xinjiang Flying Tige turnovers. Strangely Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Beijing Ducks 49-31 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Xinjiang Flying Tige helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) contributed with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international center Ziming Fan (211-98) answered with 30 points and 9 rebounds and Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) added 25 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Xinjiang Flying Tige. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Beijing Ducks have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Liaoning FL. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Shanghai S. and Shenzhen L.. Beijing Ducks is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Gold Lions (#20) in Tianjin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Xinjiang Flying Tige will play on the road against Fly Dragons (#17) in Beijing and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
