No shocking result in a game when second ranked Chiba Jets (18-4) smashed at home 6th ranked Hokkaido L. (5-18) 98-60 on Wednesday. Chiba Jets shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hokkaido L.'s players. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. The other American import guard Tre McKinney-Jones (198-90, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Spanish center David Doblas (206-81) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Tochigi Brex lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the sixth place with 18 games lost. Chiba Jets will face Toyota Alvark (#3) in Tokyo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hokkaido L. will play at home against Akita Happinets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
