Leader Tindastoll delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Skallagrimur (2-8) 89-73 in Sauoarkrokur. The game was mostly controlled by Tindastoll. Skallagrimur was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Petur Birgisson (185-96) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 7 assists. Nigerian-American forward PJ Alawoya (203-88, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Alawoya is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Croatian forward Domagoj Samac (206-93, college: Ft.Hays State) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Aundre Jackson (196-95, college: Loyola, IL) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Skallagrimur. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tindastoll (9-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Njardvik. Skallagrimur lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with eight games lost. Tindastoll will play against Keflavik (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Skallagrimur will play against the league's second-placed Njardvik (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
