Regular Season Round 14: Gimle BBK - Froya Basket 86-97

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Gimle BBK (13-2) in Bergen on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Froya Basket (9-7) 97-86. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. The game was mostly controlled by Froya Basket. Gimle BBK managed to win fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian guard Ognjen Nisavic (195-92) scored 39 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian guard Junior Lomomba (196-93, college: W.Kentucky) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. International guard Eivind Lamo (195-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Australian-New Zealand guard Tony Tolovae (196-92) scored 29 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Froya Basket maintains fifth position with 9-7 record. Gimle BBK at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Kongsberg. Froya Basket are looking forward to face Tromso (#6) at home in the next round. Gimle BBK will play against Tromso (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
