Regular Season Round 20: Liaoning FL - Guangsha L. 100-95

Date: December 13, 2018
The game between Top Four teams took place in Yingkou. Third ranked host Flying Leopards (15-4) defeated second-ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (15-3) 100-95. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Flying Leopards made 20-of-22 charity shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Zhejiang Guangsha Lions 51-35 including a 38-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) who scored that evening 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) supported him with 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Flying Leopards' coach Shiqiang Guo allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 16 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals by American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. Greek center Ioannis Bourousis (214-83) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Four Flying Leopards and five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Flying Leopards have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader Guangdong ST, which they share with Beijing Ducks. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Flying Leopards will play against Jilin Tigers (#11) in Changchun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play on the road against the league's leader Guandong Tigers (#1) in Dongguan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
