No shocking result in a game in Reykjavik where third ranked Keflavik (8-2) defeated 10th ranked Valur (3-7) 86-77. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-21 Valur's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 86-77 at the end of the game. Keflavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Valur's 32. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and international swingman Gunnar Olafsson (190-93, college: St.Francis, NY) supported him with 30 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Keflavik's next round opponent will be league's leader Tindastoll in Sauoarkrokur and it will be for sure the game of the week. Valur will play on the road against Thor Thorl (#6) in Thorlakshofn and hope to win that game.
