Important game to mention about took place in Marbella. Eighth ranked Novaschool (4-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging leader Marbella (10-1) 80-78 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Marbella. Novaschool made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: Mo.-St.Louis) stepped up and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Jackson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Novaschool's coach Javier Florido allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Senegalese center Bruno Diatta (208-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Tyler Desrosiers (188, college: Post) scored 21 points (made all of his seven free throws). Novaschool have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place in Group D-A, which they share with Almeria. Marbella at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Novaschool will play against Almeria (#7) at home in the next round. Marbella will play against the league's second-placed Andujar (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
