Important game to mention about took place in . Sixth ranked FSU (4-6) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th ranked Vestri (6-4) 77-74 on Friday evening. Vestri was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 20-13 third quarter run of FSU. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Dominican point guard Mike Rodriguez (178-94, college: S.Illinois) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Swingman Snjolfur Stefansson (192-98) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four FSU players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists and Montenegrin forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) added 22 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Vestri. FSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 4-6 record. Vestri at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Hamar. FSU will play against higher ranked Fjolnir (#3) in Reykjavik in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vestri will play against Sindri and hopes to get back on the winning track.
